हमने अपने बच्चों के साथ फ़िनलैंड छोड़कर भारत आने का फैसला किया और वो भी तब, जब हम इससे पहले कभी भारत आए ही नहीं थे। शुरुआत आसान नहीं थी। घर, खाना, भाषा, अनजान लोग और ढेर सारी कागज़ी कार्रवाई।
लेकिन धीरे-धीरे मुंबई हमारा घर बन गया। हमारे बच्चों ने नए दोस्त बनाए, नए-नए खाने चखे, ऑटो-रिक्शा में घूमे.और बिल्कुल अलग तरह की ज़िंदगी को अपनाया। हमें आज भी फ़िनलैंड की शांति, साफ़ हवा
और वहाँ रह रहे अपने परिवार की याद आती है। लेकिन हमारे बच्चे अब ये नहीं पूछते-
“हम वापस कब जा रहे हैं?”
हम भारत आए थे उन्हें एक बड़ी दुनिया दिखाने। हमें कहाँ पता था कि भारत हमारी दुनिया का भी एक हिस्सा बन जाएगा।
